Which membership level should I choose?

Parents of current students are eligible for any general membership level -- Talon Fanfare, Wind Ensemble, Flag and Rifle, Competition, Field Show, or Concert Band.  Current or former students may join at the Student or Alumni levels.  All others may join with an Associate membership.

f I am a current member, do I need to join again or renew?

RENEW! If you are a current member of ABBA, renew your membership annually.  Renewing allows you to keep the same account.   After May 1, you will receive an email with directions on how to renew.   DO NOT join again!  This creates a separate account with a new membership number and login.

Do I have to renew at the same membership level?

No.  You can renew at a different membership level.

Can I change my membership level mid-year?

Yes.  Email membership@allenband.com to assist you with this. 

When does my membership expire?

Your membership will expire May 31.  All memberships begin on June 1, even if the dues are paid before June 1 of the upcoming year.

If I renew at the Competition Level, Flag & Rifle Level or Wind Ensemble Level, do I have to get another yard sign?

No.  You may opt for the $15 store credit in lieu of a yard sign.

Is my membership tax deductible?

Yes.  Your membership is tax deductible minus the value of the incentives.  If you would like 100% of your membership due to be tax deductible, you can email membership@allenband.com to opt out of the incentives.  To receive the value of the incentives, please email membership@allenband.com.

Can I purchase more plaza tickets if I am a Wind Ensemble or Flag & Rifle level member?

No. 

Can I purchase additional incentives?

Yes.  You may purchase additional incentive that come in your membership level.  Got to www.allenband.com/membership, then click on "Extra Membership Incentives".  This excludes Party on the Plaza and Banquet tickets.


How do I get the personalized car decal with my student's name and instrument?

The personalized decal is now included in the Field Show membership level and higher.  If you have multiple students, you may purchase additional decals by clicking on "Extra Membership Incentives".


Can I opt to not receive any incentives?

Yes, you can opt out of receiving any incentives.  Email membership@allenband.com for additional information.


When will I receive my banquet tickets?

Information regarding banquet tickets will be communicated in the spring.  Banquet ticket will be limited to student use only.

Does my membership satisfy the volunteer background check?

No.  All volunteers are required annually to complete and pass the Allen ISD mandatory volunteer background check.  You can complete the background check at Allen ISD Volunteer Background Application

If I join as an Associate Member does this guarantee my ability to volunteer?

No.  Associate Members will be given the opportunity to sign up 48 hours before an event, if there are still volunteer openings.

Are memberships individual or per a household?

ABBA Memberships are per a household including adult children.  However, it does not cover and adult extended family, they would need to join under their own membership.
