General Midwest Clinic Memo #1: 6.6.22

Hello everyone! I hope you are starting your summer well! Get some rest and practice! Here are a couple of bullet-points that should help right now!

• Immediate Action Items
• If you haven’t turned in your trip contract, please send a pdf scan to: susan.fulk@allenisd.org
• Payment #2 is due on June 15 ($250). Click HERE to pay online.
• Fundraising
• Please help fundraise through the Allen Band Booster Association! All proceeds from fundraising events will be distributed equally among all students.
• Practice-a-Thon
• Please secure pledges now. There is some miscommunication regarding due dates. 
• We will communicate and clarify how to submit hours and donations at a later date.
• Parent volunteer fundraising meeting Thursday, June 16 at 6:30pm at Rudy's in Allen.  Email publicrelations@allenband.com to RVSP.
• Family Trip (Two Options)
• On-Your-Own (plan trip on-your-own)
• Advantages: lower cost, travel/itinerary flexibility, hotel of your choice, flight at your choice
• Disadvantages: Transportation is on your own (airport and Chicago), meals are on your own, hotel is on your own, unable to ride buses with students, paying full price for attractions with students, unable to participate in the dinner cruise with students.
• Friends & Family Trip Package
• Advantages: CONVENIENCE, transportation is included, meals with students are included, attractions are with students, the dinner cruise with students is included, same hotel with students.
• Disadvantages: more expensive than on-your-own, schedule is less flexible (would stick to the student schedule). If you extend your trip, flights might be separate.
• CLICK HERE if you would like to sign-up. We have a maximum number of 30 spots available for the Friends & Family trip. Filling out the online form and trip contract/deposit will secure your spot(s). Due Fri, June 17, 2022.
• Notes
• The summer payments (from our trip contract) must be paid online just for the summer months. Due to construction, the band office is housed at Ford Middle School and we cannot take deposits at FMS. Payments mailed to the AHS may not be deposited in the required amount of time.

• Your ensemble director will communicate ensemble-specific information to you separately from general memos.
