What is Band Banquet?

Banquet is a night filled with fun, food, and awards for all Band and Colorguard students. The night is kicked off with a delicious dinner, followed by Band and Color Guard awards (presented by the directors).  Band Council will join in the fun and have awards to present as well. Seniors will be honored and the Show for the next marching season will be revealed. Parents - this is where you exit as we will host a dance for the students, featuring a DJ.

Do I have to buy tickets to come to banquet?

Yes, a ticket is required to attend banquet, even if you don't plan to eat.  This applies to students, parents and guests.

When will the tickets be available?

Tickets are now available.  Early Bird discount pricing is available through May 4. Deadline to purchase is May 14.

Can I bring a non-band/colorguard student as my date to Banquet?

Yes, just buy a Family & Friends ticket for them. If they are not a student at Allen High School, you will need to complete an Out of District Guest Form.

What should I wear?

Most people wear semi-formal attire. You will see homecoming dresses, dress pants, shirts, and ties. Some come causal in jeans and cowboy boots.  Check out the pictures from previous Banquets here Previous Banquet Pictures.  Please remember: AHS dress code policy will be enforced.

What is served for dinner?

Carrabba’s will cook dinner onsite: Chicken Marsala (the Marsala sauce will be served separately), pasta, salad, and bread. There will be a gluten free pasta and a vegetarian option as well.

What happens during the Dance besides dancing?

There will be dessert for the students. We will have a lounge area for kids who don’t want to dance or need a break from the music to hang out and play games.  And don’t forget our tradition of Bohemian Rhapsody at the end of the night!

Do parents attend Banquet?

Parents are always welcome, however, typically it is parents of seniors who attend.  Parents are required to purchase a ticket if they choose to attend.
